I first made a wire cage to act as reinforcement for the concrete body of the clock, to strengthen against breakage
I reused the mechanism from an old clock, and also used the plastic backing from it as a circular mould for the new concrete clock
I mixed and poured the concrete into the mould, then carefully pressed the frame down into the centre of the wet concrete layer
I tapped the sides of the dish until no more bubbles rose to the surface. I left part of the wire frame protruding as a hanger
After two days I removed the mould, and attached the hands from the old clock to complete the project
